‘Cape Town Under: The Third Voice’ is a sound art intervention, a guerilla gallery project I conceptualised, and manifested in collaboration with Pauline Theart as part of Gipca’s LAND art festival. It was performed 22 & 23 November in Cape Town 2013 at three different underground tunnel sites as an endurance lullaby by Pauline singing for an hour without pause: a Strand Street interface with the Castle military barracks, at the Grand Parade, and on the Castle lawns. Visit guerilla gallery for an overview with photographs from the performances, and the project website for more information. These images below are from a site research visit conducted in preparation.
